The CMAP mission is to strengthen the viability of communities by enhancing the management capacity and financial stability of the nonprofits, individuals, and organisations that support those communities. Established over 17 years ago, CMAP is one of the top management support organisations in the area. Non-profit organizations continue to meet the critical needs of our most vulnerable citizens, impacting the lives of countless children, seniors, and low and moderate income families. In turn, CMAP continues to meet the vital management needs of these same nonprofits in increasing numbers. CMAP provides direct service to hundreds of non-profit organisations and reached many of others with online support and resources.

 

Aims and Objectives

The overall objectives of the Project are:

  • To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Community Management.
  • To provide information on financial and administrative matters to community management committees to assist in their effective and efficient management.
  • To provide training on financial and administrative matters to community management committees to assist in their effective and efficient management.
  • To assist in the development of policies and work practices best suited for the effective and efficient management of community based projects to advocate for such development.

The overall aims of the Project are:

  • To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of community services in financial, administrative, personnel & management process matters.
  • To provide advocacy on behalf of community services and on community sector issues specifically related to financial, administrative, personnel and management process matters.

To meet its aims and objectives the Project uses the following service delivery strategies:

  • Build and maintain community service system networks, brief other services and related activities to promote best practice, improve the level of information exchange and service coordination and enhance the effectiveness and utilisation of services. [DoCS Objective 2]
  • Disseminate information and provide support or advice on policy, operational & management issues to services, the sector & the broader community. [DoCS Objective 3.2]
  • Undertake organisational and practitioner development including training. [DoCS Objective 3.6]
